Lampshade Specifications: Custom Lighting by Chantier

Welcome to Chantier, where we specialize in creating statement lighting designs. Each of our handmade lampshades is designed, curated, and crafted to order by our small, expert team in Lithuania. Please see below for detailed specifications of our lampshades.

Lampshade Fittings

Our lampshades use industry-standard ring sets, suitable for UK, USA, and EU lamps with standard flex and fitting sets. We include a reducing ring in the central ring fitting, allowing conversion from a 39mm/ES27 fitting to a 29mm Smaller Bayonet Fitting. Our lampshades fit American-style harp lamps but will not fit lamps requiring a lampshade carrier. These fittings can be ordered on request—please contact us with your specific requirements.

For table lamps, the bulb holder sits 4cm from the bottom of the lampshade, while for ceiling pendant lamps, it is positioned 4cm from the top. If you are using an arc floor lamp, you should select a ceiling pendant fitting as the holder will be at the top.

Please note: Flex and fitting sets or table lamps are not included with our lampshades. These are used only for photography purposes.

Lampshade Sizing

We provide lampshade sizing in both centimeters and inches. Refer to our Product Information Guide to find the right shape and size, and choose from the drop-down menu.

Fabric & Wallpaper Samples

Colors, textures, and tones may vary on different screens, so we encourage you to request free fabric and wallpaper samples. You can order samples by emailing neringa@chantier.Lt

Metallic Lined Lampshades

Our gold, silver, champagne and copper-lined lampshades are made using four layers of materials, including the metallic lining, PVC, and your chosen fabric or wallpaper. This ensures that the outer color stays rich and opaque. The light is directional and reflects off the metallic lining, creating a warm glow from the top and bottom of the shade. The amount of light emitted depends on the size of the lampshade—larger shades will provide more light.

Fringing

Our lampshade fringing comes in 10cm or 5cm lengths. Please note that fringing is not included in the overall lampshade dimensions displayed on the proportions image or in the drop-down menu.

Bulbs

The appropriate bulb for your lampshade will depend on the maximum wattage of your lamp or flex set. Please consult the manufacturer’s guide to determine the correct fitting and wattage for your setup. For further assistance, feel free to contact me via email

Delivery

Delivery Information: Handmade Lampshades by Chantier

At Chantier, all of our handmade lampshades are crafted to order, with a current lead time of 2-3 weeks. As a small, dedicated family team, we lovingly create each piece to meet our high standards. During busy periods such as Christmas or promotional sales, lead times may extend to 3-4 weeks. If you need your order sooner, please contact us, and we will do our best to accommodate your timeline.

For any other items purchased from the Chantier website, the lead time is typically 3-5 working days, unless stated otherwise on the product page.

Worldwide Shipping

We dispatch all orders worldwide using Lithuanian Post, Omniva, and other reliable couriers. Each shipment is tracked and insured to ensure safe delivery.

If you do not see your country listed at checkout, please reach out to us via email at neringa@chantier.Lt  and we will assist you with the delivery options.

Please note that international shipping charges will be estimated at checkout.

Return

Return Policy: Handmade Lampshades by Chantier

At Chantier, we want to ensure that you are completely satisfied with your purchase. You have the right to cancel your order at any time from the moment you place it online, up to 14 days after receiving your goods. To cancel your order, please notify us via email at neringa@chantier.Lt within this period. After cancellation, you have an additional 14 days to return your order.

If a return request is made after the 14-day window, a credit note will be issued for the value of the returned item(s). No credit notes or refunds will be provided if the return request is made more than 2 months after the delivery date.

Personalised / Bespoke Lampshades

Refunds or credit notes will not be issued for bespoke, made-to-order lampshades, including those created with customer-provided materials or custom sizes and color combinations that are not part of our standard stock collection.

As all of our lampshades are lovingly handmade to order, please ensure that you measure your space carefully to avoid the need for returns. We are happy to assist with sizing advice if needed.

We also offer free fabric and wallpaper swatches to help you make an informed choice. Please remember that colors may appear differently on computer, phone, or tablet screens.

Return Shipping

The cost of return postage is the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise arranged.

Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged during transit, please notify us within 24 hours of receiving the delivery. To process your claim, we will require photos of the damaged lampshade and its packaging.

To ensure we can process compensation for the damaged parcel, it is essential that the damage is properly documented according to the postal service’s procedures in your country. Please formalize the incident with your local postal service as soon as possible to help us proceed with the compensation process.
